How deep is the cake pan supposed to be because I had an incident.

Me too! Mine overflowed in a standard (I thought?) square metal pan and needed an emergency intervention, haha. I think it’ll still taste good (the icing is so good!) but I came to the comments to see where I went wrong 😩

Okay update, in case anyone else runs into this issue— I probably should have reduced the batter by about a cup. As it was my cake pan was very full when I put it in the oven, I should have known something was off. I ultimately added a cookie sheet underneath when it began to drip and it wasn’t a huge deal, but something to look out for. Cake baked according to instructions and tastes so good though. 😛

mint chocolate is one of my favorite combos. as a kid i often requested my mom's creme de menthe brownies for my birthday. this cake looks awesome. also, as a born and bred new englander, marshmallow fluff is a pantry staple! always glad to see the real deal make an appearance anywhere. makes an excellent lid for hot chocolate.
